KunstFestSpiele Herrenhausen 2025

The KunstFestSpiele Herrenhausen 2025 are under a special star: With a high-calibre programme, artistic director Ingo Metzmacher and at the same time an impressive anniversary is celebrated - 350 years of the Herrenhausen Gardens. The festival combines contemporary art with baroque surroundings and brings together music, performance and installation in a unique way.

A musical highlight is the Anniversary concert on 8 June: Under the title The Unanswered Question plays the NDR Radiophilharmonieaccompanied by the renowned baritone Thomas Hampson - an evening that sets strong musical accents.

No less impressive: the football dance project NON + ULTRASwhich dissolves the boundaries between sport, choreography and sound art. Here, movement and music merge into an intense stage set.

On 1 June invites the KunstFestSpiele Day A large-scale wind orchestra provides emotional moments of sound - a goosebump experience in the middle of the Great Garden.

The festival offers a broad spectrum of Music, dance, theatre and spatial installations - embedded in the unique atmosphere of Herrenhausen and characterised by the artistic standards of the past years. A worthy finale for Ingo Metzmacher - and a sonorous start to the garden's anniversary year.
